So this is new information, sort of.
College is scam 😯
I’ve actually heard this idea once before. I was younger and it was pretty foreign to me. I had never given it a second thought since, probably because i feared that the truth of things would eventually lead me homeless, or turn me into one of those crazy protesting radicals wearing aluminum helmets shouting ‘The mother-ships coming!’ . Well, maybe i just wasn’t ready to accept the possible distressing truth that a prevailing institution of todays world, the foundation of peoples hopes and dreams, could be nothing but… A SCAM?! What THE FUCK.
At the time for me it was right up there with doubting 9/11 as a terrorist attack or thinking there’s blood and puss in the milk cartons at the supermarket. I mean, everyone at some point comes to realize a blatant lie that, i dare say, is brainwashed into our culture. DARE taught millions that cannabis is deadly, but really, almost everyone does it and lives normal healthy lives, its a joke. Some people swear it’s the fucking cure for cancer..
But as for the bigger things (not saying that that^ shouldn’t be a BIG fucking deal), you just can’t believe these ‘conspiracies’. We the people have a grounded sense in reality! We have justice!
No, we have smoke mirrors that blind us. No government deserves the privilege of blindly supportive citizens. But thats exactly what we have come to be somehow in a lot of ways. Wether it worthwhile or not, questioning everything an established institution does is the only way to substantiate true justice.
So now college is being thrown into this boiling cauldron of illusions? I can’t believe it menasche! This doesn’t necessarily mean however that all education succeeding high school is bad. If there was one thing I’d stress its self education. But it just means that trying to make a business out of it is bad, and horribly horribly so. Its horrible. Here’s what’s going on behind the scenes of this big budget production:
30% of students actually drop out their first year, after which the total ups to 50% that never make it to graduation day. That’s expected to increase in the future, and its directly linked with the escalating college costs that have inflated by 10x in just the last 30 years. If you come from an everyday working class family and you’re ballsy enough to take on the fee’s all the way, with your student loans and federal financial ‘aid’, you risk becoming a slave to your debt for many years to come. Finding a well paying job after college to pay off all those debts isn’t as assurable as you might think either. But in any case, with a job, you are still going to be struggling to pay when interest is in the picture.
I think these ideas of the importance of going to college were true at one point in time, but now those ideas are being mutilated by big business, and as a result we are all being taken advantage of. There is absolutely no reason why education shouldn’t be free, and the idea that we have to pay for one is one of the grandest illusions of them all. But there is hope. If you need a reference just look at how the rest of the world does higher education.
I’ll start this post off by stressing that I really am no one special.
That being said, i hope to eliminate any possible misconstrued conceptions of a complacency behind this blog. Writing may be over par , but I’m surely not confident enough to say that I’m not a complete inaccurate and hypocritical ‘fraudster’. That might very well be me spot on, though i try not to be. I mean, being devoted to only one set of irrefutable viewpoints is really harder than anything one could attempt, unless space is made for some contradictions. So i live with it. At least until further education, or self-education. Hopefully the day will come when i do know what the fuck I’m actually talking about. Until then, here are my list of sources to get by:

I have finally made a blog. Pretty excited about this one, man. I finally have a place i can go to to pleasantly unload a days worth of disorderly thoughts that no one really wants me to bother them with. Oh, I’m exited.
So here we go. The Journey into viral self-expression begins with the idea of ‘labels’. Don’t worry I’m not a troll as much as i want to promulgate as many ideas and new ways of thinking as i can. So labels. I find them even more fitting for paradox than any women: you can’t live with them, you can’t live without them. They somehow exist everywhere, in ways both known and unknown. Unfortunately for some, they offer a deceiving zeitgeist that must be followed for the conscience purpose of following ‘the trend’ . Thats when these cultural memes become as sad and exasperating as that chubby girl wearing skin tight leggings you see in your school hallways sometimes. Or like the walking Aeropostale advertisements that eat that brand name shit up without ever thinking ‘Damn and I’m not even the one getting paid to be the loyal promoter of unoriginal surplus’. Or yes, even like the few hipsters that are needlessly over aware.. of being hipster, and display this pretty well while at the same time still somehow able play the game of denial.
But anyways, I really am no one to to cast the first stone, though i probably am not the first. But I’m actually just as easily labeled as ” that superficial jackass who thinks they have mental superiority over others just because you don’t believe in something the majority does.” Labels are as simple as that.
But before they are labels, they are at first appropriate. They begin in a persons or group of persons mind(s) and play themselves out as seemingly genuine as possible. Location is probably also an important factor. These first stages of a label are those beautiful stages. When two and two are joined together and things just glide as they seem they should with little to almost no awareness. Its a harmony between a culture or subculture and originality, and this is exactly what promises its thriving future.
Time flies, 100 monkeys do their whole shebang, corporate media it’s shpeel and, wow, its a done deal. Cut to present day and you now have alleged pretentious people like me blogging about how them annoying labels are just great ideas gone off track into awareness zone, or heading into a mass produced crash course.
The moral of the story kids, is just don’t give too much of a fuck about any of this or that, and just make yourselves happy in life by being yourselves. Then none of this will even matter.
